The first solo museum exhibition presents the wide range of work by the Neubrandenburg artist (*1985). An accompanying catalog will be published for 12 €.
Rico. works mostly site-specific, installative, conceptual and often comic-like. She uses various media. Observing her surroundings is the most important starting point for the creation of her works. Her main themes include questions about what should be and what is. The properties and temporality of the materials used play an important role in this. Digital and analog reality spaces intermingle in her work.
The public needs time to discover her works and to understand their complex messages.
The 48-page catalog contains an introductory text by Prof. Dr. Christina Katharina May, a detailed biography and numerous color illustrations throughout. The exhibits are all illustrated and the catalog is structured as a tour according to the six exhibition rooms. It costs EUR 12.00.
Many different creative activities are on offer during the duration of the special exhibition.
The exhibition and catalog were created with the kind support of the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, represented by the Ministry of Science, Culture, Federal and European Affairs of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the four-gate city of Neubrandenburg and the artist Rico.
