Public guided tour "Waldbau subcamp memorial site"

The Waldbau subcamp memorial is located in Nemerower Holz near Neubrandenburg. It preserves the remains of the Ravensbrück subcamp, where a total of around 7,000 women were forced to work for the armaments factory Mechanische Werkstätten during the Second World War. The guided tour offers insights into the conditions under which these women worked and provides information about the historical background.

Join the tour to learn more about the history of the site, remember the victims and reflect on the past.

The tour is free of charge. Registration is not required. The meeting point is the "Frauenkammsilhouetten". Limited parking spaces are available.

Access from Neubrandenburg is via the B96, second forest path on the right (marked by an arrow on a tree).

There is a hiking trail along the B96 and along the lake. Please follow the pink hiking symbol.
