Invitation to the big tree planting campaign on November 7
The four-gate city of Neubrandenburg cordially invites all citizens to the big tree planting campaign under the motto "Neubrandenburg plants!". On Friday, November 7, 2025, from 13:00 to 15:00, it's "Hands in the ground!"
Where? Weitin (meeting point: Carl-Scheele-Straße, out of town in the direction of Woggersiner Str.)
Together for more green in the city
The campaign is part of the nationwide tree-planting challenge, which motivated many people, fire departments and local authorities to get involved in the summer - including in Neubrandenburg. In order to provide the young trees with the best starting conditions, the city deliberately chose the fall planting season. The seedlings planted are around 50 centimetres high and will grow into strong city trees in the coming years.
With this planting campaign, the city council is sending out a clear signal for sustainable urban greening, climate protection and a better urban quality of life. It is also in line with the city's tree planting plan, which will create new green living spaces in the four-gate city in the long term.
Information for participants
Some spades will be provided on site for the planting campaign. We recommend that you bring your own spades so that you can get actively involved. Participants should also wear sturdy shoes and clothing suitable for the weather. If the weather is completely unfavorable, we reserve the right not to carry out the planting campaign on this day.
