The "old girls" used to meet once a week, but now it only works out once a year at most. Hostess Mahin has cooked a feast during which they chat merrily about their ailments and good-for-nothing men. A vivacious lady recounts how she recently charmed an elegant gentleman. The friend's story gives Mahin food for thought. The 70-year-old has passed the point where being alone has turned into loneliness. She has been a widow for 30 years and her daughter lives in Europe with her grandchildren. There aren't many places where she can go in search of men. In a restaurant for pensioners, a reserved man catches her eye, the cab driver Faramarz, whom she quickly follows to his place of work. Chance has made the right choice. The man of the same age is shy but accommodating. The two protagonists play out what is about to happen as a quiet, initially discreet agreement. Mahin invites Faramarz over and spoils her guest with delicacies. He returns her offensive with a cascade of compliments ...
It's a delight to watch the two of them go over the top. Their determined exuberance has been given a base of trepidation by the director. Did Faramarz overdo it when he bought blue pills at the pharmacy? Will the nosy neighbor alert the vice squad, which not only monitors the public sphere?
