With 'Oslo Stories', the celebrated Norwegian filmmaker and writer Dag Johan Haugerud presents his masterpiece, a film trilogy like no other. 'Love', 'Dreams' and 'Longing' are three separate films, each with new characters and an independent story. Each one is an event. All three are addictive. Separate from each other, they each take a new look at the things that determine our lives. They tell of love, longing and dreams, question identity, gender and sexuality, and use fascinating characters and clever dialog to create clever and approachable utopias of how we could live together.
Johanne (Ella Øverbye) falls in love for the first time, with her French teacher Johanna (Selome Emnetu). She writes down her intense fantasies and feelings so as not to forget them. When her mother and grandmother read the texts, they are initially shocked by the intimate content, but soon recognize the literary potential. As they debate whether to publish it, all three women are confronted with their own unfulfilled dreams and longings...
