Sylvia Ludwig: lives and works in her studio near Schwerin

PORCELAIN. White. Unconventional. Fragile. Transparent. Hard. The appeal lies in the interplay of these qualities, which is what keeps porcelain endlessly fascinating to Sylvia Ludwig. As a trained ceramicist, she combines the craft of free-throwing with this very material to create small series, one-of-a-kind pieces, and vessel-shaped objects, as well as free-form, project-based works. Her vessels are presented at ceramics markets in Germany and abroad, as well as in solo and group exhibitions.

Grit Sauerborn: lives and works in Rostock
born in 1964 in Bützow, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern

Through her paintings, Grit Sauerborn brings the incomprehensible into our consciousness. Painted planes without narrative intent that, upon closer inspection, nonetheless tell of relationships, rhythms, transitions, and encounters.
