On Saturday, September 20, 2025, 62 organic farms in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern will open their farms for the 18th BIO-Landpartie - the Gessiner Mittelhof will be there From 10:00 to 17:00, you can get your own impression of practical organic farming on the individual organic farms and businesses. In the farms' own bakeries, cheese dairies, cideries, wine cellars, roasteries, apiaries, oil mills, butchers and distilleries, you can get to know the gentle, artisanal processing and discover and taste the wide range of organic products in the farm stores. In addition to the organic store, the café in Gessin is also open and awaits its guests with home-baked cakes. For the first time, the farm is also presenting its agricultural part.
You can experience how grain, potatoes, vegetables, fruit and herbs are grown, how bread is baked, fruit, grapes and oil are pressed, cheese is made, honey is produced, schnapps is distilled and coffee is roasted on the various farms in 12 regions of the country. You can view old and modern agricultural machinery. You can taste and buy baked goods and cakes, sausage, venison, oils, fruit juices and schnapps, wine, honey, coffee, herbs and tea or dairy products. You can also meet goats, sheep, chickens, geese, ducks, turkeys, cows, cattle, buffaloes, horses, bees and pigs. Visitors of all ages can talk to experienced farmers, gardeners, shepherds, bakers, millers, cheesemakers, distillers, winegrowers, roasters, chefs, beekeepers and butchers at the individual organic farms, manufactories and businesses.
Each farm at the 18th BIO-Landpartie also offers special activities and interesting offers, such as guided tours of the farm, tractor or horse-drawn cart tours, tasting of the farm's own products, as well as milking and feeding or pony riding for children.
