Immerse yourself in the exciting world of the marsupial tit! During my 2-hour guided tour, you will get to know one of the most talented builders in the bird world.
The Penduline Tit (Remiz pendulinus) is a small songbird that impresses with its elaborate, hanging nests. These masterfully woven structures are made of fine plant fibers and cobwebs and are often found over bodies of water or on thin branches - a protection from predators and an architectural marvel of nature!
In addition to nest building, you will also learn exciting facts about the lifestyle and habitat of this fascinating bird. Did you know that in Central Europe, the marsupial tit is mainly found in wetlands and that its diet consists of insects, seeds and small spiders? During the tour, we will explore the surrounding area, listen to the melodic calls of the Penduline Tit and gain exciting insights into the birdlife around Tribsees.

Please bring weather-appropriate clothing, sturdy shoes and, if necessary, binoculars to make the observations even more intense. The tour is suitable for both beginners and experienced nature lovers.
If required, the tour can be extended by two hours and we can go on a long moorland hike.
