Cello Stories - Concert at the beginning of the year

On Sunday, February 1, 2026, the Schwaaner Kulturförderverein e.V. invites you to a very special concert:
CELLO STORIES - Daniel Sorour, cello, and Nikolai Juretzka, piano, chose the title because each concert is presented in a fresh and open manner with anecdotes and stories about the composers and the pieces. The two musicians make pop songs sound like chamber music and baroque pieces sound like pop. The short improvisations in the jazz standards from New York or Rio de Janeiro by Antonio Carlos Jobim or Kenny Dorham (Blue Bossa) and George Gershwin are always exciting for everyone. The two create even more variety in the program with well-known classical pieces and film music from more recent times. The repertoire includes works by Coldplay, Einaudi, Piazzolla, Queen, Metallica, Nirvana, Pachelbel and many others.
