Aladdin leads a life as a simple street urchin until his life is suddenly turned upside down: He has only just met Princess Yasmin, who is trying by all means to protect her people from the evil sorcerer Jafar, when he himself becomes embroiled in the latter's nasty machinations. Jafar finally wants to get rid of the Sultan and seize power with the help of a legendary lamp.
Aladdin, of all people, is supposed to help him, but the plan goes wrong and Aladdin is trapped in a cave. In his search for a way out, he discovers the secret of the magic lamp and frees the mighty Genie, who soon turns out to be a real friend. Aladdin's problems seem to be solved in one fell swoop, as a genie helps with three wishes. But magic alone will not be enough to help Yasmin and thwart Jafar's sinister plans...
