"YEAR OF ROMANCE" - Caspar David Fruedrich on his 250th birthday
The exhibition is dedicated to the 250th birthday of the important Greifswald Romantic artist Caspar David Friedrich. The artists Brigitte Meyer, Reinhard Meyer and Robert Meyer explore the theme of Romanticism in their paintings,
Christina Rode, Wolfgang Baumann and Heinrich Zenichowski in their sculptures. Heinrich Zenichowski, a sculptor living in Greifswald, created Caspar David Friedrich as a tall figure in terracotta - a unique piece that can be impressively experienced in the exhibition.
