The island of Hiddensee is rich in natural beauty, long dreamy sandy beaches and cultural highlights, away from the otherwise overcrowded tourist hotspots. Some people like the almost untouched heathland between Neuendorf and Vitte best. Others see the Hiddensee highlands, from where you have the best view, as their excursion highlight.
Every day from April to October and between Christmas and New Year, all three island ports are called at from Stralsund.
You can reach Neuendorf, the southernmost island port, in just 90 minutes. The central port of Vitte can be reached in two hours and the northernmost port of Kloster takes 2.5 hours.
