The concert series in the middle of natureMusic and nature have had a close relationship for centuries. The waves of the sea, the song of birds or the "rustle of the forest" (Franz Liszt) were not only important sources of inspiration for artists and numerous compositions during the Romantic period, but are still so today. The sounds of nature are perhaps even the origin of all music.
Our concert series of the same name on Fischland-Darß-Zingst aims to bring precisely these connections to life in scenic locations. For almost two decades, our motto "special music in special places" has given visitors the opportunity to discover not only previously unknown musicians, but also new places around the National Park of Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft. In 2024, we have once again put together an exciting, varied and cross-genre programme for you.
In addition to the artistic diversity and quality of the concert programmes, the organizers and promoters are also particularly interested in the quieter sounds in the "interplay" between people and nature. We would still like to see the sounds of nature as a symbol of "soft tourism". Therefore, when you visit, please always be prepared for the fact that the paths to the toilet are sometimes a little longer or the seating a little harder than in a concert hall. Don't forget to take mosquito spray and an umbrella, as the weather always plays a very special role in our projects.
Tens of thousands of visitors have followed the very special charm of this series of events in recent years and have been rewarded with unique experiences for all the senses. Whether at the harbour in Dierhagen, on the "Hohe Ufer" between Ahrenshoop and Wustrow, in front of the old mill in the Klockenhagen open-air museum, at the "Swimming Piano" by the lake, in the baroque parish garden of Starkow or at all the other concert venues, people and their music have been experienced and heard as a harmonious part of nature, because the "world is sound".
