An Evening with the Rat Pack

An Evening with the Rat Pack

It was a clique of entertainers around the film star Humphrey Bogart and his wife Lauren Bacall who combined their creative work with carousing and other friendly activities in America in the mid-1950s and were to have the greatest influence on the American entertainment industry as The Rat Pack. Legend has it that it was Lauren Bacall who coined the term Rat Pack when one day, on seeing her friends after a night of excess, she exclaimed: You look like a goddamned rat pack! The hard core of the clique included Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr., who appeared on stage together for the last time on a Together Again tour in 1988. A new song recital at the Kleine Komödie Warnemünde tells the story of this unique gang in short stories and brings the time back to life with some of their greatest hits. These include: New York, New York, I get a kick out of you, Fly me to the moon and many more.

Playing time: Approx. 2 hours. One intermission.
